Stream Energy to Bring Rate Relief for Seniors
Chairman Rob Snyder Announces Program For New Customers 62 And Over
During this very hot summer, Stream Energy Chairman Rob Snyder has unveiled a program providing rate relief for new customers 62 and older. Stream Energy (www.streamenergy.net) is working with the Public Utility Commission of Texas to assist those who are most at risk during the hot summer months.
"We know that summer can be tough on both senior health and their pocketbooks," said Stream Energy Chairman Rob Snyder. "We hope this program will provide seniors a bit of comfort during this potentially stressful season," he added.
Under the senior rate relief program, seniors can sign up in August and September to lock-in their rates for 18 months, instead of the 12-month standard in fixed-rate programs. The senior rate relief program also provides a $250 credit, which customers would receive after one year of on-time payments.
"Many of our customers get peace of mind and energy savings by locking in their rates through fixed-rate plans," said Ignite Founder and Stream Managing Director Chris Domhoff. "We are pleased to be able to extend the fixed-rate program to 18 months for seniors in this program," Chris Domhoff added.
