Director (Non-Executive)

An outside Director of the firm, Don Kendall is the founding managing director and the Chief Executive Officer of Kenmont Investment Management L.P., an investment management firm located in Houston and specializing in alternative investments and private equity. Don most recently utilized his extensive background in the power and energy industries overseeing event driven, distressed, capital structure arbitrage and private equity investments in these sectors for Carlson Capital, L.P, while overseeing Kenmont’s private equity fund of funds.

From 1993 to 1998, Don was president of Cogen Technologies Capital Company, L.P. In addition to his duties at Cogen, Mr. Kendall was the founding chairman and chief executive officer of Palmetto Partners, Ltd., a family office and investment management company. He has established significant private equity portfolios at four firms including building, managing and marketing a $1.56 billion asset focused private equity portfolio. He has also been involved in initial public offerings, project finance, leasing, restructurings and workouts, recapitalizations and merger and acquisition assignments and has completed in excess of $20 billion in financing transactions.

Don has been a member of the firm’s Board of Directors since 2010. Don further is a trustee of Hamilton College (and a member of its Investment Committee), a member of the Houston Committee on Foreign Relations, a Board member of Zoo, Inc., The Jane Goodall Institute and Earthwatch Institute and finally also serves as a member of the Board of Overseers for the Tuck School of Business.

Don obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamilton College as well as a Master in Business Administration from the Tuck School of Business.
